The 2010 Election is Over

But Staying Informed Isn't

Jobs and the North Bay's future depend on your vote

Issues

Economic Competitiveness

The North Bay's future rests on its economic strength.  To stimulate our economy, our local elected officials must foster the development and expansion of businesses in the North Bay.  Activities that create a competitive business environment, allow businesses to create a safe and flexible workplace, and make the North Bay an attractive place for employers and employees alike are needed.  North Bay businesses must be better able to compete for business expansion and job creation.

Saving and Creating Jobs

Competition for jobs is a regional, statewide, and national contest.  To successfully compete, local government agencies must have effective economic development incentives for job-producing projects.  Jobs are the backbone of our economy.  We can not afford to let job-killing decisions by our local elected officials go unnoticed!

Local Governance and Regulatory Environment

For businesses to create jobs and grow the economy, they must be able to operate under regulatory policies that are predictable, reasonable, and clear.  Policies that are burdensome, outdated, and complicated add to the cost of doing business.  Responsible city and county leaders are mindful of the unseen costs imposed by arbitrary zoning and land-use regulations and how they confound economic progress.  Responsible leaders support effective and balanced ways to promote environmentally sound and 'green' business practices without inhibiting the growth of jobs and the economy.
