A campaign flier distributed by a self-proclaimed “smart growth” Petaluma watchdog group lays blame for vacant storefronts in town on “runaway development” approved by what it calls “pro-developer” candidates.
The trouble is, their favored candidates, Mayor Pam Torliatt and Councilman David Glass, voted to approve at least two of the projects highlighted on the campaign flier.
