Petaluma has been deprived of potential retail centers that would provide for both job growth and diverse, local shopping opportunities. Our community is well positioned to create it's own economic revitalization; without simply waiting for the promise of the benefits of a national recovery. Approval of both the East Washington Place and Deer Creek Plaza projects fulfills these objectives. We can and will, have thoughtful and environmentally considerate development within our community, that will simultaneously preserve our unique quality of life and provide a diversity of revenue-generating businesses and industry.
